Our Project...

The 3L4MOSH project, "Lifelong Learning for Mongolia; Occupational Health & Safety," is a multifaceted initiative with a twofold purpose. It aims to establish Lifelong Learning Centres (LLCs) in four Mongolian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and to digitize Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) curricula, which will undergo piloting through these LLCs.

The consortium comprises four Mongolian HEIs, consisting of two universities and two colleges. MUST, located in Ulaanbaatar, the national capital, holds the position of Mongolia's premier technical university. Meanwhile, the other three HEIs—KhSU, KhPC, and UPC—operate in remote regions, representing either newcomers or less experienced organizations. AHU NGO, dedicated to OHS promotion, will spearhead the coordination of the project's dissemination strategy. Additionally, MUST and AHU will collaboratively enhance their capacity to provide OHS auditing services to the industry.

Within the EU part of the consortium, the University of Patras (School of Medicine) serves as the project coordinator. The University of Palermo and the University of Cadiz, alongside an experienced non-profit organization in CBHE (CRETHIDEV) and a consulting SME (GuruServices.BIZ), complete this collaborative effort. The engagement of Mongolian stakeholders in co-designing educational structures and resources, along with the digitalization of educational resources through XR, gamification, and innovative pedagogical methods suitable for e-learning, promises substantial contributions to the modernization of Mongolian Higher Education.

The project, spanning from December 2023 to December 2026, will focus on achieving specific objectives and anticipated impacts. Of utmost importance is the establishment of Lifelong Learning Centres (LLCs) in Mongolian HEIs and the introduction of digital e-learning educational tools. The initiative also seeks to establish a paradigm of quality culture, fostering co-design between universities and industrial stakeholders, and offering OHS basics training to industrial employees through the LLCs.
